Jimmy Dee and his Chamorritas have performed shows throughout Asia
and countless other locations around the world and remain Guam's most
sought after, leading entertainers, unsurpassed anywhere in Micronesia. Jimmy
Dee has been honored by the Governments of Guam, Japan, Korea and Taiwan
for his untiring and very successful work as an entertainer and promoter
for Guam's growing tourist industry.
Jimmy Dee and The Chamorritas are Official Goodwill Ambassadors for Guam.
Jimmy Dee has been awarded the Guam Visitors Bureau's highest
honor – Mr.
Tourism – The Golden Lotte Award. In
1993, Jimmy Dee and his lovely, talented Chamorritas were honored by the
Governor of Guam with the very prestigious LifeTime
Achievement Award for entertainment excellence.
Jimmy Dee, the previous Chairman for the Guam Visitors Bureau,
now serves on various marketing committees and continues as an active
board member. The Chamorritas (meaning young Chamorro maiden) are known as Guam's most exciting glamour girls. Because of their natural beauty, talent and charm, the Chamorritas have been asked to perform for everyone from passenger vessels at port to greeting high governmental officials and dignitaries. For over two decades, the people of Guam have used the Chamorritas to promote this wonderful island throughout Asia and the world.
